Activities
Social
Sigma Iota Delta is more than just obligations; it’s also about fun. The social committee works hard so that we can play hard by planning various events. We strive to present a well-balanced and entertaining social program because the social development of our members is essential to the well being of the entire chapter. All social activities are designed not to interfere with scholastic achievement of the member, but rather serve as another aspect of her college education. Some of the unique opportunities SID provides are Formals, Theme parties, Mixers, Sister Sleepover, Road Trips and many more. The main focus of a social event is to have fun! Here is a sampling of social events we’ve held:
Formal
Every year we hold our annual Formal Dance. This is a fun time for all the sisters. The Social committee spends endless hours preparing and decorating for this great event. It is a time to temporarily leave our life at CSI and enjoy a couple hours of good food, dance, and company
Christmas Party
Every year we have a Christmas Party. It is our last social event before finals. We all dress up, exchange Secret Santa Gifts, and dance and sign into the night.
Pot Luck Dinner
Every so often we have a Sit-Down Dinner. At this time all the sisters eat dinner together. With everyone’s varying schedules and work habits it is difficult to get everyone together. This is a time we all look forward to sitting down together and enjoying a homemade meal.
These are only a few of the many activities we have. When two or three sisters are gathered together a special bond is shared that can’t be reproduced. These are the best times of our lives
Sigma Iota Delta Foundation is a non-profit organization, which was created in 1993. Since the Fraternity’s founding, members of Sigma Iota Delta always have been active with philanthropic endeavors. Sigma Iota Delta’s recognized philanthropy is Make A Wish Foundation. Participating in Philanthropic events is very rewarding for our chapter. It gives us the opportunity to make a difference in the world and help others. Through volunteer work and raising money we have supported many important causes. The most gratifying aspect of Greek Life is the satisfaction and pride that comes with involvement in community service. We recognize the need and desire to raise money and donate time to special philanthropies. We have helped The Make a Wish Foundation, March of Dimes, Breast Cancer, JDRF, MS and other local organizations. By dedicating themselves to helping others, Greek organizations assist their members in the development of moral character

Socials/Mixers
Every month we hold a party at a bar or club. It gives us a chance to get to know each other socially outside of class. We also have Fraternity mixers where we get together with different fraternities
